WHO REMEMBERS THESE PEOPLE?

There was once two little Ballstaedt boys that went to visit their grandparents who LOVED to play games with the kids. I don't know who won the game. (But I noticed in this picture I must have been bored because I am sitting on the couch in the background.)
The kid with the white hair wasn't allowed to touch the beans I guess.

WHO ARE THESE CUTE LITTLE BOYS?

Does anyone remember who these cute little guys are?

HIKING WITH THE GRANDKIDS

What a BEAUTIFUL FALL DAY FOR A HIKE! (At least Hayliann thought so until she got going on the trail.)Rock decided that it would be fun to take the grandkids to hike Timpanogas.
This is Alyssa and Hunter. They were the first ones to reach the top until the last little bit, and speedster Mylee passed them up.

It was a very steep hike, but the kids loved it.
You can't tell from this angle, but behind Mckay is a sheer drop-off of hundreds of feet. He was standing on a protruding rock. Brooke is taking the picture. She pushed Ryder in the stroller most of the way which was hard at with the steep incline. (Especially since she had run 22 miles that morning.)
Just look how steep the fall would be if you slipped off the trail

Several feet along the trail you can tell they had to dig holes in the rock to create the pathway. It was paved thank goodness because although it is only one and a half miles long, it climbs over a thousand vertical feet. VERY VERY STEEP. But at least Brooke and Hayliann were there to hold the arch in place.

I LOVE THIS PICTURE

THIS WAS TAKEN BY JENN

This is Joel, McKay, Hunter and Emma putting up the flag on Labor Day. It is SOOOO cute!

SUNDAY DINNER SHOW

We have Family Dinner every 1st and 3rd Sunday. The grandkids like to get together and one of their favorite things to do is dress up and do a "SKIT" or a "SHOW". They memorize their parts and then they shout them really loud like they are on STAGE.
We have a Lot of Talent! This is Kayla on the right and Alyssa on the left. They are doing a Clown Routine.

MY NEW IRON

Rock bought me a new Iron. BECAUSE IT WAS PURPLE! I love purple things, and now I have a purple Iron. Now you might think that is weird, but All Quilter's Love Iron's. We show off our Iron's, so here is a picture of Mine as it admires itself in the mirror.

IS THIS GOING ANYWHERE?

We just got the news that --- nope,- not what you're thinking.
But Lisa is moving to Utah this month....

GRANDMA DAY AT THANKSGIVING POINT

We all got together to visit the gardens at Thanksgiving Point to celebrate the end of Summer. It is a beautiful place. As you can see from the pictures below, most of the time the mom's were just taking pictures of the kids.

....Kathryn and Emma shared a towel after they played in the water.....
I somehow didn't get any pictures of all the pretty flowers...humm.

MEIKA AND SIENNA VISIT with their new dog

Last weekend Seth and Cairen came to Salt Lake for the Labor Day Holiday. While visiting her parents, they picked up a new puppy. We were so surprised how big Sienna is growing, and we just marvel how beautiful the girls are! It is so fun to have everyone around for Sunday family dinner so the cousin's can get together. By the way -- -- -- Brooke and Tom picked up the puppy's sister, so the cousin's have matching babies now.

BOOK RECOMMENDATION

THESE IS MY WORDS - by Nancy E. Turner

I would recommend this book to anyone! It is a great story written as a diary in the life of a young woman during the late 1800's in Southern Arizona in the wild wild west. It will pull at your heart strings with her joys and sorrows. Reminicient of Annie Oakley meets Rhet Butler. First one to my house can borrow it.

My Three Favorite Six Year Olds!

BRIANNA BROOKE NICHOLLS
Brianna is very sly because she is really smart, but she doesn't want anyone to know so she won't tell anyone what she knows. But we are starting to catch on because she couldn't contain her glee when her mom blew up all the balloons for her birthday party and she could identify all the colors correctly. She has beautiful curly red hair that everyone adores, and she just started a special kindergarten where she is learning so many things. Her favorite thing to do is to play with her sisters and try to do everything they do, but if they aren't around, she loves to play with her dishes and play cupboards. She also will let you read books to her over and over.
RIVER THOMAS GATTEN

He turned 6 in August and He Is All BOY! He started kindergarten this year. River loves to wrestle his older cousins McKay and Hunter. He also LOVES to play anything that is done with a ball. He is very handsome and loves his mom and older sisters to take care of him. He also loves his baby brother who is almost old enough to play tough stuff with him.

EMMA GRACE BALLSTAEDT

She turned 6 in July. She is now in first grade. She loves to dance and play with dolls. She also loves to play with her brothers, but only tolerates all the star war games. She loves babies and always wants to hold Stone, Hallie, and Ginger. Her favorite color is not purple. (?) Grandma doesn't get it........Mostly she wants to be a princess all the time. She talks really soft and is very feminine. She loves to play dress-ups with her cousins and have sleep-overs with Kathryn.
