ROCK TURNS 59

Rock turned 59 and we celebrated at the park for a pot luck dinner and some instruction on "How to run a marathon" taught by Rebecca Ballstaedt - Rock didn't need much advice because he has run over a hundred marathons in the last 30 years.

But all the kids are planning to run with him this year in October and many of them are just starting to train.

We Finally moved in! We have really enjoyed living in our new house even though everything is still in boxes all over the floor!

There is Utah Lake off to the southwest as we look out the deck.

 We don't have any yard in the back.

These are the views off the deck to the southwest and to the northwest.

 We enjoy watching the sun set as well as the hanggliders jumping off the mountain.

BAZZAR FOR KIDS BY KIDS

Last week the Nicholls and Gatten kids did a sidewalk bazzar to sell their homemade wares. Addy sold about 50 suckers that Grandma helped her make. Kayla (not pictured) sold jewelery made from pipe cleaners, and ribbon sticks. They also sold little make-up bags with kid make-up, rock people, and little puffs with faces on them. Mylee, Alyssa, and River sold popcorn balls, cookies, and bean bags. They all had a lot of fun, it was very crafty and cute! They set out their table right in front of the bus stop and all the kids in the neighborhood came with their quarters. Net take for their efforts was about $45. Great day!
